Ashley Durant is a British-Caribbean Actor currently training at the University of East London.
Ashley was always surrounded by creatives at a young age, seeing his grandmother on stage and his uncle on the runaway modelling. Inspired Ashley greatly to carry on that legacy within the family. At this period of time, Ashley was in Saturday classes to hone his performing arts skills and he loved being on stage so much that he wanted to take it to greater heights.
Ashley’s first role that introduced him into the industry, he played ‘Nick’ in the web series “FOUR” that released in 2018 on YouTube, hitting over a million views. It also went to win an award in 2020 for the most ‘Favourite Web Series Ensemble’ from Screen Nation. Later to be screened on television on a channel called ‘YangaTV’.
And all during that time, Ashley was studying at Big Creative Education where he learned most skills that uses to this day on set and on stage, Big Creative Education pushed Ashley to reach the top, making him do type of roles that he’s never done before, just teaching him to adapt to any situation that’s given.
Ashley was signed to ‘Howard and Moore’ for 3 years. Ashley’s time with this agency greatly impacted this career. Receiving many jobs and becoming the poster boy of the agency.
The current production that Ashley has featured in is called ‘A Letter to Black Men’ by Kiosa Sukami. It recently won the ‘Best UK Short Film’ award from the Manchester Film Festival and it’s also been nominated for an award in the 30th Raindance Film Festival.
